About the event

Please join forces with Equilibrium The Holistic Living Project in its attempt to raise awareness and funds for the devastating crisis that India is currently facing.

As yoga students, teachers & seekers, we owe all that we learn and teach from the infinite wisdom that the Yoga mother-land has gifted us. We all benefit daily from these practices and teachings which have all touched & continue to touch our lives.

With our geological privilege where life seems almost "normal", the people of India are suffering in unimaginable ways. Please help us raise awareness and give back to a country that has given us so much.

The Oxygen for India fundraising event will be held at our beautiful studio in Glenelg East on Sunday 27 June from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.

This special event will have multiple sessions that you can book in for.

All will be pay what you can. We do ask, however, for you to consider what these events would normally cost.

8:30-10:30am: 2-hour Indulgent Practice. - Lead by Ellie Johns

This session will begin with a welcome to country, followed by an extended practice including mediation, pranayama, Asana with a focus on devotion and offering.

11:00am-1:00pm: Introduction to the Wim Hoff Method. -  Lead by Kym Burls

This two-hour event will give you an overview of all that the Wim Hoff Method is, followed by a practical breathing session. There will be time at the end of the session to ask all those questions about the method you have always had.

1:30-2:30pm: Yoga Dance Party. - Lead by Sarah Corbett.

Come have a little fun with the traditional Asana with a dance twist where you can let your hair down and move your body to some funky tunes.

3:00-5:00pm: Yin & Reiki. Lead by Ellie Johns & Emma Sinclair.

Join us for one of our most popular events:

Reiki Practitioner Emma Sinclair and Yoga Teacher Ellie Johns will be joining forces to bring you this incredibly relaxing and healing Yin & Reiki Experience. Indulge in this 2 hour Yin and Reiki class where you will be guided by the relaxing sounds of Ellie's soothing voice, with long-held yin poses and meditative sounds. Emma will be spending time with each person in the room, providing reiki healing energy throughout the class.

What is Yin?

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga incorporating principles of traditional Chinese medicine. A true practice in unwinding and letting go. Yin yoga is a passive practice in that you work to relax all of the muscles and stretch the ligaments, tendons and fascia, which will result in a longer resting length of your connective tissue. In this class, we will move through some slow, long-held, floor-based postures - using bolsters blankets and blocks to ensure you feel supported and relaxed.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is an energy healing treatment that works holistically; on the whole body, mind and spirit. Reiki is a treatment whereas natural healing vibrations are transmitted through the hands of a Reiki practitioner to the body of the recipient. The purpose of a Reiki treatment is to relieve stress and pain, induce relaxation, release emotional blockages,   accelerate natural healing, balance subtle bodies energies and support other medical modalities including traditional therapies. Emma will channel the Reiki energy through her hands and direct it to students where she feels it is needed.

To book, head to our "book online" tab, where you can book in for one or multiple sessions.  Once you have booked, we will send you an email with information on how to donate.

If you want to simply donate and not attend the event, please get in touch with us directly via email.

Thank you for support us in this event. This country holds such a deep place in our hearts and it aches to watch the suffering that is occurring. Coming together and raising awareness and money is a little way we can give back what we can.
