The Preview - a Mini-Retreat

Unsure if the Illuminate Retreat is right for you? Dip your toes into The Preview - a 90 minute mini-retreat right here at Equilibrium - and remember the health and wellbeing that lies just beneath your surface.
Much like our 4 day retreat, you’ll experience moments of connection and insight, all with the underlying philosophy that true wellness is wholeness, not simply the absence of illness. Across 90 minutes, Ellie will guide you through soothing practices - breathwork, mindful movement, and stillness - that invite you to shift from "doing" into "being."
This mini-retreat is completely free. We invite you to attend, just as you are, and experience a glimpse of what it could feel like to change the way you live.
Inner Reset: Expansion

Inner Reset is a monthly experience at Equilibrium designed to help you reflect, realign, and renew your path forward. It is an active, change-making ritual.
Each month marks a fresh chapter, and a new theme. Without reflection and recalibration, it’s easy to carry the weight of the past into the future. Inner Reset is your invitation to pause, assess where you are, and consciously choose the direction you wish to move in.
As the weather warms, we feel a sense of encouragement to rise and expand. We begin to connect with the element of space, akasha, and we expand beyond the rigid boundaries that restrict us. With energetic practices and a dedication to one's practice, the seedlings of intention planted will sprout and rise within you.
Guided by yoga therapist Gen Braund, you'll move through a blend of dynamic practices including asana (physical movement), kriya (energetic activation), pranayama (breathwork), meditation, and journaling. Each session is carefully designed to help you process the past month, clear what is holding you back, and set intentions that feel aligned and empowering.
This transformative 2 hour 15 minute practice will be held at the start of every month in our cosy and intimate studio.

Yin & Reiki - Unconditional Love

Reiki Practitioner Emma Sinclair and yoga teacher Ellie Johns will again be joining forces to bring you this incredibly relaxing and healing Yin & Reiki experience.
Reiki is an energy healing treatment that works holistically; on the whole body, mind and spirit. Reiki is a treatment whereas natural healing vibrations are transmitted through the hands of a Reiki practitioner to the body of the recipient. The purpose of a Reiki treatment is to relieve stress and pain, induce relaxation, release emotional blockages, accelerate natural healing, balance subtle bodies energies and support other medical modalities including traditional therapies. Emma will channel the Reiki energy through her hands and direct it to students where she feels it is needed.
Dr. Mikao Usui created The Five Principles to help others find value and appreciation for life and universal energy. It is said, when The Five Principles are understood, only then does it make it easier to practice the art of Reiki. The Fifth Principle of Reiki is: "just for today, I will love all living things." We are all of one source. All forms of life are interdependent. If recent times on the planet have shown us anything, it's in order to survive, we will have to learn to show love and respect for all life forms. We are all collective energy form the same source. There is no solid matter, only different levels of vibration and frequency. Positive energy, whether directed at ourselves or others, helps to heal the whole planet. Each person, animal, plant and mineral is included in the whole. To show love and respect to all others is to love and respect ourselves and mother earth.
Indulge in this 2 Hour 15 Minute Yin and & Reiki class where you will be guided by the relaxing sounds of Ellie's soothing voice, with long-held yin poses. Emma will be spending time with each person in the room, providing reiki healing energy throughout the class.
This beautiful evening will be held at our cosy and intimate studio from 6:30-8:45pm on Friday, 17 October 2025.

Women’s Health Workshop

Perimenopause can be a powerful time of change and renewal, but can sometimes feel overwhelming. If you’ve noticed shifts in your body, mood, or sleep, and want practical tools to move through this stage with confidence, this workshop is for you.
Led by Ellie Johns (founder of Equilibrium, with 15 years in holistic health) and Henrietta Flanagan (naturopath with 23 years’ experience in women’s health), this nurturing and informative session will give you clarity, strategies, and calm to support your journey.
You’ll learn about:
The stages of perimenopause and common symptoms like hot flushes, sleep changes, and mood shifts.
Nutritional support, supplements, and key lifestyle changes to help you feel your best.
Practical tools to ease the transition: diet, movement, stress management, and nervous system reset.
This workshop is designed for women who want to understand their bodies better, embrace holistic strategies, and leave feeling empowered, balanced, and supported.
Illuminate Wellness Retreat
Friday 14th - Saturday 17th November, 2025
This 4-day transformational experience offers self-discovery and self-healing. It is an opportunity to reconnect with the practices that lead to health and nourishment in all elements of life.
This retreat was born out of deep love for the natural healing ability of the body and the mind. Every cell in our body is a healing machine and if we overlook this, we miss the magic of being human, being alive, and being a regenerative force of nature.
This retreat has been designed to educate you and give you a somatic experience of how you can step into a life of wellness. This retreat will nourish all parts of you and give you space to reconnecting with nature and yourself.
This retreat includes but is not limited to:

Yin & Pin: Spring to Summer
Saturday November 29th, 2:00-4:15pm
As the seasons shift from the vibrancy of Spring into the heat of Summer, we move from emerging Yang into its fullest expression. Join us for Yin & Pin, a deeply nourishing experience combining the meditative stillness of Yin Yoga with the energetic refinement of Acupuncture.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this time of year signifies a movement from the element of Wood into Fire. At this time, Yang energy is at its highest, with long, warm days. We can support ourselves by balancing rising Yang with periods of rest, and embracing joy and connection while avoiding overstimulation.
Guided by Yoga Teacher Ellie Johns and Acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine Practitioner Kate O’Leary, this immersive 2 hour and 15 minute practice weaves together the stillness of Yin yoga, meditative sound, and acupuncture to support your seasonal transition.
Kate will move through the space offering acupuncture during practice and throughout an extended savasana, while Ellie will hold a calming space with her grounding presence and soothing voice.
