Beginners’ Yoga Course

Thursdays May 9 - June 27, 7:30-8:45pm

Are you or someone you know completely new to yoga? Or maybe you'd just like to get the basics mastered? We all have to start somewhere.

In our eight-week Beginners' course, we take our time to learn the basic poses and concepts of a yoga practice. We cover physical shapes (asana), breath (pranayama), and meditation techniques commonly found in our Equanimity and Balanced flow classes. The course has a special extended class time of 75 minutes, so that we can workshop shapes and answer any questions, and is capped at 12 people so that individual attention can be given.

Gen loves teaching beginners. She's been teaching specialised courses and classes for beginners since 2019, and has designed this course so that your practice can be safe, deep, and comfortable.

If you want to feel confident attending classes in the studio, or even create your own home practice, come along!

Yin & Reiki - Explore the Energetic Self

Friday May 17, 6:30-8:45pm

Reiki Practitioner Emma Sinclair and Yoga Teacher Ellie Johns will again be joining forces to bring you this incredibly relaxing and healing Yin & Reiki experience.

Reiki is an energy healing treatment that works holistically; on the whole body, mind and spirit. Reiki is a treatment whereas natural healing vibrations are transmitted through the hands of a Reiki practitioner to the body of the recipient. The purpose of a Reiki treatment is to relieve stress and pain, induce relaxation, release emotional blockages, accelerate natural healing, balance subtle bodies energies and support other medical modalities including traditional therapies. Emma will channel the Reiki energy through her hands and direct it to students where she feels it is needed.

In yogic philosophy, the self is divided into five layers, or koshas. The second of these is pranamaya kosha, otherwise known as the energetic body. In this practice, we will explore how we connect to this subtle energetic layer, and how we can create space for prana to balance and flow.

Indulge in this 2 Hour 15 Minute Yin and & Reiki class where you will be guided by the relaxing sounds of Ellie's soothing voice, with long-held yin poses. Emma will be spending time with each person in the room, providing reiki healing energy throughout the class.

This beautiful evening will be held at our cosy & intimate studio from 6:30-8:45pm on Friday, 17 May 2024.

Book early to ensure you have reserved a spot for this healing experience.

Yin & Pin

Friday May 31, 6:30-8:45pm

SOLD OUT - WAITLIST ONLY

Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctor Charlotte Powell and Yoga Teacher Ellie Johns will be joining forces to bring you this incredibly relaxing and healing Yin & Pin experience.

Acupuncture is a Traditional Chinese Medicine practice, where tiny needles are inserted into specific points around the body. These points connect to spaces along the meridians, or channels of vital energy/qi, which allows energetic blockages to be removed.

This time of year is the crossing over of Autumn into Winter, which in Traditional Chinese Medicine signifies a movement from the element of Metal into Water. At this time, we are moving deeper into a reflective and quiet state of yin, and can support ourselves through slow movement practices, warming foods, and specific areas of acupuncture.

Indulge in this 2 Hour 15 Minute Yin and & Pin class where you will be guided by the relaxing sounds of Ellie's soothing voice, with long-held yin poses. Charlotte will be spending time with each person in the room, providing acupuncture throughout the class and in an extended savasana.

This beautiful evening will be held at our cosy and intimate studio from 6:30-8:45pm on Friday, 31 May 2024.

Numbers are limited to just 12 people, so book early to ensure you have reserved a spot for this healing experience.
