Yin & Reiki - Trust

Reiki Practitioner Emma Sinclair and yoga therapist Gen Braund will again be joining forces to bring you this incredibly relaxing and healing Yin & Reiki experience.
Reiki is an energy healing treatment that works holistically; on the whole body, mind and spirit. Reiki is a treatment whereas natural healing vibrations are transmitted through the hands of a Reiki practitioner to the body of the recipient. The purpose of a Reiki treatment is to relieve stress and pain, induce relaxation, release emotional blockages, accelerate natural healing, balance subtle bodies energies and support other medical modalities including traditional therapies. Emma will channel the Reiki energy through her hands and direct it to students where she feels it is needed.
Dr. Mikao Usui created The Five Principles to help others find value and appreciation for life and universal energy. It is said, when The Five Principles are understood, only then does it make it easier to practice the art of Reiki.The First Principle of Reiki is: "just for today, I will not worry." To worry is to forget there is a divine or universal purpose in everything. If we are in trust with our higher guidance and do the best we can, the rest is up to the Universe.
Indulge in this 2 Hour 15 Minute Yin and & Reiki class where you will be guided by the relaxing sounds of Gen's soothing voice, with long-held yin poses. Emma will be spending time with each person in the room, providing reiki healing energy throughout the class.
This beautiful evening will be held at our cosy & intimate studio from 6:30-8:45pm on Friday, 13 June 2025.

Winter Solstice - A Journey Inwards
Saturday June 21, 6:00-9:00pm
The Winter Solstice is what is often referred to as Midwinter - the longest night of the year, when the sun seems to pause, and the world holds its breath. It encourages rest, introspection, and a drawing inwards. We can either resist this calling, or we can dive deep into it. Winter Solstice is a time of reflection, and to release this past year's grief. In dwelling in this darkness, we can learn more about ourselves and plant seeds of intention that will blossom in the eventual sunshine of Midsummer.
Together we will create a sacred and supportive space that will allow you to dive deep within and soothe the endless movement of the mind. Our intention is to hold an energetic container for you to explore the depths of your being, and to help you connect with your innermost Self.
Through meditation, we will guide you to quiet the mental chatter and find a space of mental stillness. Journalling will help you to connect with your inner voice and explore your thoughts and feelings on a deeper level. And finally, in our Yin yoga practice, we will guide you through gentle poses that will help you release any physical or emotional blockages, and connect with the wisdom of your body.
Join Ellie and Gen for this transformative 3-hour practice, and allow yourself to be guided on a journey of self-discovery and inner exploration. Together, we will create a space where you can feel safe, supported, and inspired to connect with the depths of your Self, and the infinite universe that lies within you.
Inner Reset: Insight

Inner Reset is a monthly experience at Equilibrium designed to help you reflect, realign, and renew your path forward. It is an active, change-making ritual.
Each month marks a fresh chapter, and a new theme. Without reflection and recalibration, it’s easy to carry the weight of the past into the future. Inner Reset is your invitation to pause, assess where you are, and consciously choose the direction you wish to move in.
True insight arises when we turn our gaze inward. Through the yogic practice of swadhyaya, or self-study, we begin to observe our thoughts, patterns, and inner landscapes with curiosity and compassion. This inward journey reveals the wisdom already within us, guiding us toward greater clarity, authenticity, and self-understanding.
Guided by yoga therapist Gen Braund, you'll move through a blend of dynamic practices including asana (physical movement), kriya (energetic activation), pranayama (breathwork), meditation, and journaling. Each session is carefully designed to help you process the past month, clear what is holding you back, and set intentions that feel aligned and empowering.
This transformative 2 hour 15 minute practice will be held at the start of every month in our cosy and intimate studio.

To anger is to desire control, generally over the self's own emotions, which results in feeling out of control and out of synchronisation with our divine or universal life purpose. When our expectations get the better of us and we become angry because someone or something didn't live up to our needs or desires, we tend to forget that what we have drawn into our environment are only our own manifestations.

Beginners’ Yoga Course
Thursdays, July 24 - September 11, 7:30-8:45pm
Are you or someone you know completely new to yoga? Or maybe you'd just like to get the basics mastered? We all have to start somewhere.
In our eight-week Beginners' course, we take our time to learn the basic poses and concepts of a yoga practice. We cover physical shapes (asana), breath (pranayama), and meditation techniques commonly found in our Equanimity and Balanced flow classes. The course has a special extended class time of 75 minutes, so that we can workshop shapes and answer any questions, and is capped at 12 people so that individual attention can be given.
Gen loves teaching beginners. She's been teaching specialised courses and classes for beginners since 2019, and has designed this course so that your practice can be safe, deep, and comfortable.

Illuminate Wellness Retreat
Friday 14th - Saturday 17th November, 2025
This 4-day transformational experience offers self-discovery and self-healing. It is an opportunity to reconnect with the practices that lead to health and nourishment in all elements of life.
This retreat was born out of deep love for the natural healing ability of the body and the mind. Every cell in our body is a healing machine and if we overlook this, we miss the magic of being human, being alive, and being a regenerative force of nature.
This retreat has been designed to educate you and give you a somatic experience of how you can step into a life of wellness. This retreat will nourish all parts of you and give you space to reconnecting with nature and yourself.
This retreat includes but is not limited to:

plant-based home-cooked meals
daily juices, and more.
